Milk Thistle also known as Silybum marianum, is a well-known herb that has been used for thousands of years by humans. The active ingredient in Milk Thistle is known as silymarin. Scientific studies on this herb have shown that the flavonoids in silymarin to contain strong anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and detoxifying properties.
